Pumpkin soups should be refined with a dash of rape seed or olive oil. The antioxidant effect of the pumpkin thereby unfolds its full potential and the immune system will be strengthened as a result. The vegetarian association in Berlin pointed this out. Pumpkins are among the best suppliers for vitamin A, which strengthens the human body defense system. However, vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin, which our body can only absorb in combination with oils and fat consumed with food. A serving of pumpkin soup with oil can, according to the vegetarian association, cover the daily requirement of vitamin A.
